Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar divided
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups rhubarb cut
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
- Cream 1–1/2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup shortening together. Add egg, milk, flour, baking soda, and vanilla; beat together. Pour into a 9x13-inch pan. Add in rhubarb. Mix together remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
