Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2-1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
- 2/3 cup sauerkraut rinsed, drained, and chopped

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add alternately with water. Stir in the sauerkraut. Pour into greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake until center springs back when touched, roughly 30 minutes.
