Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 lb ground suet
- 4 lbs tart apples cored, peeled, and cut
- 3 lbs seedless raisins
- 1 lb dried currants
- 1 cup candied orange peel diced
- 1/4 lb citron chopped
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp cloves
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 3 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 pint cider or brandy
