Rocky Mountain Cookies**
“Dear cookie bakers, this is the one cookie recipe our family just must have every Christmas. The blend of chocolate cookie with the chocolate frosting and marshmallows is delicious and appreciated by young and old. It must be about 50 years that we have been making this recipe. I hope your readers will enjoy them as much as we do.”

Instructions
Cookies
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Sift into a 3-quart bowl: sugar, cocoa, baking soda, flour, and salt. Add butter, water, egg, evaporated milk, and vanilla. Beat 3 minutes with mixer or by hand.
  3. Using a teaspoon, drop cookies onto prepared baking sheet, approx. 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes. Cookies will be slightly soft in the center.
  5. Remove from oven and quickly place marshmallow half (cut side down) on top of each hot cookie.
  6. Let stand until cool.
  7. Frost.
Frosting
  1. In a saucepan, combine chocolate chips and evaporated milk and melt over very low heat, stirring frequently.
  2. When melted, remove from heat and add powdered sugar.
  3. Stir until thickened. If it becomes too thick, add a few drops of milk.
