Old Fashioned Fruit Cake (Dark)

sweetened condensed milk

raisins

dates
chopped

apples
chopped

molasses

nuts
chopped (such as pecans)

salt

tsp
baking soda

tsp
cinnamon

tsp
cloves
1/2
tsp
nutmeg
Instructions
Mix together all ingredients in order as listed and pour into a prepared 8- x 12-inch cake pan. It will be thick.
Bake at 300 degrees for 2-1/2 hours. Check with a toothpick at that time.
Cool well and keep in refrigerator with a covered lid.
Serve thin slices; it will be a moist cake. Later, cut into smaller squares, wrap, and store in freezer.
