Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef 93% lean or leaner
- 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 2 egg whites or 1 whole egg
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 2 Tbsp water
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 4 wood or bamboo kebab skewers 10-inch
- 4 flatbreads (such as naan, lavash, or pita bread)
- Optional Toppings: Chopped tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and fresh parsley, prepared Tzatziki sauce (plain yogurt with minced cucumber, dill, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice—all to taste)

Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg whites, parsley, water, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into twelve, 2-inch meatballs.
- Thread meatballs onto skewers.
- Place on rack in broiler pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake in oven 24–27 minutes. **
- Remove meatballs from skewers. Serve in flatbreads. Garnish with toppings, as desired.
Recipe Notes
**Important cook’s tip for all ground beef recipes: cooking times are for fresh or thoroughly thawed ground beef. Ground beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees. Color is not a reliable indicator of ground beef doneness.
