Instructions
  1. Line an 8-x8-inch pan with wax paper and use butter to coat.
  2. Combine maple syrup, cream, brown sugar, and salt in a pot over medium heat while stirring. Bring to a boil (or 240 degrees on a candy thermometer), stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add nuts and vanilla. Beat until it loses its gloss.
  3. Pour into pan and cool, cut, and wrap.
  4. Store in refrigerator.
