- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 cups pure maple syrup
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 2/3 cup walnuts optional
- 1 Tbsp vanilla

Instructions
- Line an 8-x8-inch pan with wax paper and use butter to coat.
- Combine maple syrup, cream, brown sugar, and salt in a pot over medium heat while stirring. Bring to a boil (or 240 degrees on a candy thermometer), stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add nuts and vanilla. Beat until it loses its gloss.
- Pour into pan and cool, cut, and wrap.
- Store in refrigerator.
