- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Butter or margarine softened
- 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice

Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix flour, butter, and confectioners’ sugar together thoroughly.
- Press into ungreased 8-x8-x2-inch square pan, building up around the edges about 1/2-inch.
- Bake 20 minutes.
- Beat remaining ingredients approx. 3 minutes or until light and fluffy.
- Pour over hot crust.
- Bake about 25 minutes longer or just until no imprint remains when touched lightly in the center.
- Cool; cut into squares.
