Grandma’s Fry Bread
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together; add water.
  2. On a floured table- top, knead it all together until it is a soft ball of dough, but not too sticky.
  3. Cover the ball of dough with a towel for 5–10 minutes.
  4. Break the dough ball into four pieces.
  5. Flatten and shape pieces into flat rounds, about 1/4-inch thick.
  6. In a large heavy skillet (grandma always used her cast iron fry pan), heat the lard until it is hot and fry the dough rounds one at a time, until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side.
