Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup banana mashed (about 2 bananas)
- 1/2 cup dates chopped
- 1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges drained
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 2/3 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup maraschino cherries chopped

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in separate bowl and add to creamed mixture.
- Alternating with bananas, stir in dates, oranges, coconut, almonds, and cherries.
- Pour into two greased loaf pans. Bake for 50–55 minutes.
- Cool 10 minutes before removing bread from pans to a wire rack.
- Cool completely before cutting. Tastes even better when eaten the following day.
