  1. Bring water to a boil.
  2. Add cracklins, salt, allspice, and shortening. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Add both flours slowly; turn off heat and mix well. The mixture should be stiff.
  3. Place into a 9-x9-inch floured pan; press firmly. Cool and refrigerate.
  4. To serve, slice, fry, and serve with honey.
