Ingredients
Crust
- 2-1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- chopped pecans (optional)
Filling
- 2-1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1-1/2 Tbsp light corn syrup
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1-1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 3/4 cup maraschino cherries chopped

Instructions
Crust:
- Mix together and pat into greased 9-x13-inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.
Filling:
- Beat first 8 ingredients together, then mix in Maraschino cherries.
- Pour over crust and bake until golden brown, approx. 25–30 minutes.
Icing:
- Cook flour and milk until thickened, then cool.
- Beat together butter, sugar, and vanilla; add to flour mixture. Beat until smooth and spread onto cooled cake.
- Sprinkle chopped cherries on top of icing.
- Serve.
