fresh or frozen cranberries
apples (4 medium apples)
peeled and sliced
Butter or margarine
packed dark brown sugar
all purpose flour
quick-cooking or old-fashioned rolled oats
In an 8-inch microwave-safe baking dish, combine cranberries, apples, and sugar.
Mix lightly and spread evenly in baking dish; set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.
Mix in flour, oats, and cinnamon until crumbly; sprinkle over cranberries and apples.
Microwave on 100 percent power for 10–12 minutes or until fruits are tender, rotating dish once if necessary. If frozen cranberries are used, cooking time may be longer.
Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
