Ingredients
- 4 bacon strips diced
- 1 dozen brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 Tbsp fresh chives snipped
- 1 carrot thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/3 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Pinch of salt

Instructions
- In a skillet, fry bacon until cooked. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons of the drippings in the pan.
- Add remaining ingredients to the skillet. Cook and stir over medium-high heat for 10–15 minutes or until brussels sprouts are crisp-tender.
