  1. Brown beef in a frying pan over medium heat until pink is gone; add salt and pepper. Place beef in slow cooker but leave fat in frying pan. Sauté onion in beef fat until tender. Add cooked onion, any remaining beef fat, mustard, and tomato soup to slow cooker. Turn to MEDIUM heat and cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve on toasted buns.
