- 6 lbs apples peeled and chopped
- 6 cups apple juice
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- Place apples and juice in a pan or roaster and cook until partially softened. Stir often.
- Add remaining ingredients and put in oven. Bake until apple butter consistency, stirring often.
- Put into jars and seal.
