Ingredients
- 5-1/2 lbs apples peeled and finely chopped
- 4 cups sugar depending on sweetness of apples
- 2–3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
- Place apples into a slow cooker with sugar, spices, and salt. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
- Reduce heat to LOW, cook 9–11 hours until thickened, stirring occasionally. Spoon into freezer containers, leaving one-half inch of headspace.
- Cover, refrigerate, or freeze. Makes 4 pints.
