This recipe was given to me in the late ‘70’s by the lady in the cottage next door. They used it on many hammer handle-sized Northern Pike that were caught in lower Post Lake.
The original recipe is from the “50 Year St. Croix County Cookbook”. It is also excellent eaten fresh.
This recipe is very easy to make and is so delicious. It is also a pretty side dish that goes with any kind of meat, and it’s a great way to use up any extra cucumbers.
