Celebrating the Historic Downtown Alma with an annual “Open House” of Lock and Dam #4 on the Mighty Mississippi River.
Featuring free educational tours of the lock system and its functions from 10 am until 2 pm. Other attractions include live music by local artist Mac Cherry, raptor exhibits and demonstrations at Wings Over Alma Nature and Art Center, and numerous activities throughout downtown. Travel to the top of the Alma Bluff to experience the Renowned Panoramic Views of Buena Vista City Park. Come to Alma and enjoy a memorable day along the River.
