Mark your calendars! We’re excited to welcome everyone back to the grounds to kick off another wonderful season at Beckman Mill.
Visitors can enjoy a simple and delicious meal for $5, which includes a bowl of chili, a cornbread muffin, and a bottle of water or soda. A special thank you goes to Culver’s of Beloit, and K’s Outback and Knute’s Bar & Grill of Orfordville for generously donating the chili, and to Don and Barb Sternquist for providing the cornbread muffins. We’re incredibly grateful for the support of these community partners who help make this event possible. We will also have homemade desserts, bars, and treats for sale.
During the event, the mill will be running and grinding corn, giving visitors a chance to see the historic mill in action. We will also have blacksmith demonstrations throughout the afternoon, offering a look at traditional metalworking and craftsmanship.
The Garden Spot is generously donating a floral arrangement for the event and will be providing a demonstration as well.
Most importantly, we encourage you to invite friends, family, and neighbors to join us. Opening Day is a great chance to share the beauty and history of Beckman Mill with others while celebrating the start of spring together.
