First Lutheran Church-Hayward is hosting its annual Scandinavian event. The bake sale, featuring Scandinavian delicacies, opens at 3:30 p.m. The event is an in-person dinner at First Lutheran Church.
The menu includes lutefisk, Dag Hammarskjold’s Swedish meatballs, red potatoes, rutabaga/carrot casserole, peas, cranberry orange relish, pickled herring, pickled beets, lefse, Swedish rye bread, rice pudding with lingonberries, and krumkaka.
Dinners are $25 for adults, $10 for children ages 5-12 (children under 4 and adults over 90 are free), with advance purchase only by calling the church from Oct. 19 to Nov. 4. Ticket sale hours are 8:30 to noon, Monday through Friday. Reserve by calling the office at 715-634-2141. Credit cards are accepted.
