The Horicon Marsh Archaeological Festival, sponsored by the Rock River Archaeological Society, takes place at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center with the 2017 dates being October 14th and 15th.
This very special weekend features speakers in the Visitor Center Auditorium; children’s activities such as corn grinding and bead collecting; Fire starting; Local collectors with museum quality artifacts on site; a Native American Tepee, Buckskinner’s encampment plus a Flute and Drum Circle; The Fox Of The River Voyageur Canoe on display with a special Saturday program on the Voyageurs; Atlatl demonstrations; Venders offering jewelry and other Native American art; delicious food created by Chef Anthony from Milwaukee and much more on the beautiful Horicon Marsh.
The Explorium will be open with a small admission cost.
Times of the event are Saturday, October 14, 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday October 15, 10 AM to 4 PM.
