A variety of vendors will be available for purchasing products and providing information. If you have high hopes for your garden, or just want more information on growing things around you, come out for a day of fun!

Speakers include:

“Making the Most of Your Seasonal Produce” Chelsea Wunnicke: Whether your garden yields an abundance of produce, or you find deals at the farmer’s market or the grocery store, you want to know the right way to pick, store and preserve seasonal produce to make the most of the harvest. Extension resources teach you how to keep it food-safe and high quality for you to enjoy!

“Fungi and Foraging: Nature’s Secret Garden” John Cronk: Class attendees will have the opportunity to learn about mushroom identification and the resources needed to forage.

“Day Lilies: Selection, Habitat, and Care” Rod Lysne: Love day lilies? So many varieties, colors and sizes are available to use in your landscape. Learn from a long-time hybridizer of these beautiful flowers what works best for zone 4. Emphasis on hardy, dormant plants.

“What You Need to Know About Wells and Ground Water” Melissa Luck: Ground and well water is a topic of interest in many communities urban and rural throughout Wisconsin. Learn fact based information regarding Richland County’s status and what’s being done or proposed to ensure clean water.
