FUR BALL is the largest fundraiser for The Chequamegon Humane Association (CHA) that serves Ashland & Bayfield counties.
This event is sponsored by all volunteers & proceeds from the event go directly to support our shelter. All items, including food, beverages, bucket raffle, silent & dessert auction items, are donated by members of the community. Funding for our shelter comes from donations, adoption fees & our resale store, The Shelter Shop.
We are a 501c(3), non-profit, tax-exempt (#39-1365568), NO KILL shelter. Each year, approx. 1,000 dogs, cats & small animals receive shelter, food, medical care & a 2nd chance. We also offer low-cost neutering/spaying & an animal food bank for those lucky enough to have a home. Our event is attended by 150+ people. This year will be our “21st.” Fur Ball.
