Save the date for The Garland City Chamber Players for an afternoon performance of chamber music in Cable, Wisconsin on Sunday, August 6 at 2 p.m. The concert and light supper are hosted by and will take place at the Cable United Church of Christ, 13445 County Highway M, in Cable, WI. The August performance will include instruments such as a flute, cello, violin, and piano. Everyone throughout the community is invited to hear this encore performance. All concertgoers are invited to share a light meal of soup and bread after the performance. The musicians of the Garden City Chamber Players so enjoyed the enthusiasm of the Cable area audience earlier in the summer that they are pleased to offer an August concert. This is another chance to spend an afternoon filled with wonderful music, share a meal, and socialize with community members.
The Garland City Chamber Players are a chamber collaborative with a focus on energy, interpretation, and high musicianship. The concert is an opportunity for the whole family to listen to some well-remembered classical music, as well as be introduced to some new pieces. “If you missed their first appearance, here is your opportunity to hear an all-new repertoire of chamber music offerings live and in-person In Cable.” announced the music program organizers. The program will be from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by a light supper. A free-will donation will be taken to help promote the group’s musical work.
Earlier in the day The Players will perform one chamber music piece during regular Sunday 10 a.m. worship at the U.C.C. Church. All are welcome.
The Cable United Church of Christ venue offers a space with good acoustics and a baby grand piano to enrich the musical experience. There is additional seating in the connected Fellowship Hall. Ample parking is available in both the church parking lot and Cable Community Event parking area off Randysak Road, a stone’s throw from the Church.
The Garland City Chamber Players, Jaryd Traaholt and Neil Paynter (pianists), violinist Andrew McInnes, and soprano Tiffany Darling will be performing.
