Join us for the 3rd annual Birds, Bees, and Butterflies event at Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. In addition to the vendors, demonstrations, and displays of all things related to birds, bees, and butterflies, at this free event, we have two fantastic speakers lined up. Mark your calendars!
10:30 Badger Talks presents Lauren Riters
Why Do Birds Sing? Lauren comes to us through the Badger Talks Program through UW-Madison. Lauren is a professor of animal behavior, neuroscience and physiology. Her research is on the vocal communication of songbirds.
1:00 Rob Zimmer
Unique Plants for Pollinators at Necedah NWR. Rob is an author and host of Outdoors with Rob Zimmer, which airs Friday and Saturday mornings on WHBY Radio in the Fox Valley. Rob frequents the refuge often, monitoring flowers, insects, and other wonders of nature that the refuge offers.
In addition to the above, there will be food trucks, a bake sale, and silent auction that day.
