This map shows approximate locations of key places in Dick Sheehy’s story. His mission took him from an air base in Italy, over the former Yugoslavia, and on to Ploesti, Romania. His plane was heavily damaged and was ultimately shot down over Bor inside German-occupied Yugoslavia on the return trip, and he was taken to Pranjane, in the region of Serbia, from where he was eventually rescued.
