  1. Beat egg whites and salt on high speed until stiff. Gradually add sugar on low speed and beat for 5 minutes. Fold in vanilla, chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint sticks. Drop by the teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 45 minutes at 250 degrees. Cool completely before storing or serving.
